Diagonal bracing should be installed at lease every 8' (feet) across to face of the gable end wall. Gable end walls failures in hurricanes can lead to significant damage and loss for the Homeowners and insurance companies.
Properly constructed and/or braced gable end walls can go a long way to reduce these losses and be safer for your family. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand how to properly brace your gable ends.
