A: The insurance companies require a licensed and qualified inspector to complete the
4-Point Inspection and
A: No one, J/J Alexander, Inc. is not employed by the insurance companies, and cannot guarantee any aspect
of inspection, including, but not limited to: Insurability, underwriting, need for additional certifications or
inspections subsequent to inhal inspection.
A: Any paperwork on the roof updates, repairs, paperwork on plumbing updates and repairs, paperwork on
electrical updates and repairs and paperwork on air conditioner updates and repairs.
A: Shutter Opening Inspection takes 15-30 minutes, Wind Mitigation takes 20-45 minutes and the 4-Point
Inspection takes 30 minutes to 1 hour.
A: The Wind Mitigation Certification is good for 5 years.
A: Yes - Adequate access so we are able to move around to see the areas of inspection.
A: We need adequate access to the following:
A/C System
Electrical Panel
Plumbing
Under all sinks
All Toilets
Roof
A: J/J Inspections Inc. will electronically send all of the forms and photo's directly to your insurance company.
We need the following information from you.
The name of your insurance agency.
The name of your agent.
The telephone number for your insurance agency.
The e-mail address for your agent.
A: Florida law mandated that property insurance companies offer wind storm mitigation credits for specific wind
resistant features that exist in your home. These must be inspected, documented and photographed
by an approved inspector, such as J/J Inspections, Inc.
A: No - other features can also qualify.
A: We require payment at the time of inspection. We accept cash or checks.
A: When you have made retrofit improvements on your home that qualifies for re-certification.
A: Yes - J/J Inspections, Inc. needs to inspect, document and photograph the improvements.
